I met a guy named Alyn Edwards at the show in 100 Mile House. He was very interested in the Rat Rod. Wanted to take a picture that I had of the car when it was still sitting in the field. It was the only one I had with me so I got his email address and emailed him a copy along with a few others at various stages of the build. Alyn emailed me back asking for a write up on the build for a story for some papers he submitted to. I sat down and started hammering away on the keyboard and sent it off to him when I was done. He liked it so much that he edited it down to one short story and one full version. The shorter version will be in the Vancouver Sun Aug 7 and the longer version has been submitted to Old Autos, a nationwide publication out of Ontario. I don't know yet when the longer version is going to print but I'll let you know when it's going to run. Paul has copies of both if you miss it in print but still want to read it. What would you be thinking if you saw this in your rear view mirror?

My article and pics are in The Vancouver Sun today (Friday Aug14/09). Section G. Oh what a feeling! Check it out. I'm leaving for the flat lands tomorrow. Finally got all the hoops jumped through. Start in Jenner Tuesday. I'm planning on buying a laptop and hacking into wireless signals where ever I can find them so I'll be looking in from time to time. Might buy a camera as well. I'm hoping to find lots of old iron to take pics of.
See you later....

Just talked to the wife and she says the Rat Rod has been published nationally in this weeks Old Autos out of Ontario. One whole page with lots of pics. Now I'm pumped. I think when I get home on Thursday I'll pull it out on the street in front of the house and do a big smokey burnout to celebrate...
