Casting Number: 3970010 = 69 to 79 350 (according to NastyZ28.com) Engine Code: K0508C4R = K - St Catherines 0508 - May 8th C4R - 1982 267 or 1985 305 The C4R kind of baffles me. The motor came out of Trevors 67 Chev pickup. They told me it was a 350 but coming from the wrecking yard who knows? Perhaps someone with more knowledge about sbc's can explain the 267/305/350 mystery... Had enough jam for this This was taken just minutes before it was pulled.

well, i posted the numbers on the truck forum and the one guy said as long as it has the 3970010 it is a 4" bore so it is most likely a 350.
so, i will most likly get it but i just gotta wait till next payday.
What is included with it?

If it is as you assume a 350 then it could be either. Until you open it up and have a look you won't know for sure.

Basically complete less intake, carb, distributor, starter and exhaust manifolds. Stiil has alternator, fuel pump, water pump, harmonic balancer, pulleys and flex plate. Heads and oil pan have not been removed. Don't know if it is a one piece seal or 2 - 4 bolt mains. Leaving that surprise for the purchaser...
When's payday?

Hi, would you take $75 for the SBC? (Sorry for the lowball offer just that i took a cut in hours lately and not making that much anymore) looks like my V6 is on its way out so i need to find something to rebuild and drop in (Not even gonna bother with another V6)

I can relate to your cut back in hours as I just endured a six week cut back in wages almost equal to your hourly rate of pay. (Fixed it somewhat with a change of employers.)
I saw a puff of smoke from your truck the other day, did you replace your valve seals when you had your top end apart ? (if your using a lot of oil and smoking it may just be valve seals) or is it suffering from the weight of your shoes?
What does your Daddy want for the Pontiac intake?

not sure what my dad wants for it?
Well, my truck left me stranded at school today, flooded it self out and the only way it would run was at Wide open throttle, was at school working on it till 6:30.
I am starting to think its time to retire this V6, i never did the valve seals and now wishing i did. and i really have no clue what is going on with my fuel issue.
If you still got this SBC i will give you $100 for it, (i just sold some bike parts ;D)
